Who Are We
The Broadway Strings is comprised of five of New York City’s finest theater musicians. This exciting ensemble marries high-level classical skill with the glamour of musical theater. Regularly collaborating with up-and-coming arrangers and orchestrators, the Broadway Strings frequently produces new works and arrangements specifically for our ensemble. Our celebration of Broadway music brings the musicians out of the pit and front-and-center. Comprised of violinists Suzy Perelman and Will Curry, violist Molly Goldman, cellist Jessica Wang and pianist Adam Rothenberg, the quintet has collectively played in over 30 different Broadway orchestras, including Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Hamilton, Wicked, Sweeney Todd, Company, Moulin Rouge, Fiddler on the Roof, Miss Saigon, My Fair Lady, Gigi, Cats, Chicago, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. This season, you can see these performers in the orchestras of Wicked, Spamalot, Sweeney Todd, and the national tour of Les Miserables. The Broadway Strings is led by artistic director, Will Curry.
